Here's the latest in the mess-making process. It's gotta get worse before it get's better, right? The following three photographs are the beginnings of the new circle drive in front of the house. This will eliminate the drive that runs all the way around the house. There will be a leg off each side to allow passage to the sides and back parking areas. In the center of the circle will be a place for landscaping.

Well, here's the first task at the new house. Nothing pretty, but it will sure help keep everything in good order. Had a trench dug around the entire side of the house to route the water from a natural spring around the basement instead of directly at it. Better them than me!

Finally starting to get moved in and get things in place. Here are some snaps of three of the rooms that have things somewhere in the general vicinity of where they will eventually be. None of the rooms have been painted yet so the colors you see here will be changed (especially the Den/TV room).

The Living Room is to the right off the hall. The photos are taken from the door, turning left into the room and then back around toward the door from the other side.

The Dining Room is to the left from the Hall. Things are just sort of set around, but you can begin to get the idea. Not pictured is the corner on around to the right where the piano will be, but it is not there yet. From this room you go back to the Den/TV room.

This will be the Den/TV room. Entering from the Dining Room I hope to be able to "disguise" the TV with things in the foreground on the chest. The TV will live on the chest between the chairs. Perhaps I'll get an armoire for it later, but for now, this is it. The photos go from the Dining Room through the room and looking back from the Kitchen.

This is to the left of the front hall as you come in the front door. The mantle is Carrara marble and the mirror comes with the house. To the right, out of sight in the second photo is the door to the dining room.

The dining room is connected off the "Mirror Room." The door on the left in the first photo leads to the kitchen. In the second photo you see the door to the porch/mudroom.

From the front hall straight through to the porch that runs beside the dining room and connects to the kitchen. This was once an open porch that was inclosed. The original exterior wall of the dining room is still exposed.

This bath was added to the landing at the top of the stairs in the original house. It sits between the two upstairs bedrooms.

This is the newest addition to the house. It was done in 1945. This part of the house contains two bedrooms, one with en suite bath, another bath and a finished basement.

This is the finished basement. There is one big, open space as well as a smaller room and a bathroom.
